I found this website which has been really useful for my initial research for the Barbers Pole design....
Even though it is American, it is very useful in resources and information relevant to our project.
Have a look when you get the chance.
I had no idea that bloodletting was one of the original roles for a Barber... obviously we won't be going into that, but it is interesting to know the origins of the trade.
